April Royan

April Royan, M.A. CCC-A, originally from Chicago, Illinois, is an Audiologist and the Medical Director and Owner of Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center in Naples, FL. Ms. Royan received a Bachelor of Arts in Audiology from Illinois State University and a Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Illinois. She is a former Regional Audiology Training Manager for a major hearing aid manufacturer and was awarded the Outstanding Customer Service and Patient Satisfaction Award in 2009 through 2015 from AMG, a national Audiology organization. She has been recognized by Gulfshore Life Who’s Who in Health and Top Doctors publications. Ms. Royan was selected for the 2009 through 2015 Best of Naples Awards in the Audiologists category. Most recently, Decibels Audiology was the winner of the Naples Daily News 12th Annual Southwest Florida Choice Awards for Best Hearing Aid Center, making this the 3rd year in a row they have won this readers-choice award.

Dr. Ann RasmussenDr. Ann Rasmussen, Au.D. CCC-A, originally from San Francisco, CA, is a Doctor of Audiology in Naples, FL. Dr. Rasmussen earned a Bachelor of Arts from Regis University and Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida. She was awarded the position of Research Fellow atUniversity of South Florida in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, where she conducted speech-in-noise testing and analyses. Dr. Rasmussen has been nationally recognized for her work on speech understanding in noise, which was published by the Acoustical Society of America. She was honored with the Hillsborough County, Florida Outstanding Service Award. She has been recognized by the Sunshine State Seminar on Hearing for clinical implementation of the American Academy of Audiology guideline for audiologic management of the adult patient. She is a former Director of Audiology at offices of Ear, Nose & Throat physicians. As a top hearing doctor in the field of audiology, Dr. Rasmussen was the first approved licensed provider in Naples for an international Tinnitus Treatment device.  Dr. Rasmussen is a specialized provider of tinnitus treatment, aural rehabilitation, ear wax management, and hearing aid fitting and verification. Most recently, Decibels Audiology has earned recognition in Naples Daily News for excellence as a Hearing Aid and Tinnitus Treatment Center. Dr. Rasmussen is also able to hone her audiologic talents while taking care of her sister and daughter who both live with hearing loss.

Adriana VillalobosAdriana Villalobos, M.A. CCC-A, has been an Audiologist in Naples since 1999. Adriana is a 1991 graduate of the University of Texas and winner of the Sertoma Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Throughout her more than 25 years of experience as an Audiologist, Adriana has worked in an array of environments, including completing her clinical fellowship at Houston Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic in Houston, Texas. Adriana's specialties include Fitting and Dispensing Services, as well as Assistive Listening Device Technology. These specialties allow her to create individualized solutions for her patients in order to meet their unique hearing needs. Adriana thoroughly enjoys being an integeral part of the Decibels Audiology family, where she has the opportunity to continue pursuing her passion of helping support her patients' hearing health. Aside from her work as an Audiologist, Adriana and her husband are involved in community arts in the Southwest Florida region. They also have two children, and their adventurous family loves to travel together at any opportunity!

Christine PeacockChristine Peacock, M.A. CCC-A, joined Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center in the Fall of 2014. Her career as an Audiologist began in the early 2000s in the Midwest, and she currently draws upon her vast experience as a fitting specialist working with an array of hearing device technologies at Decibels Audiology in Naples, Florida. Christine earned both her Bachelor of Art and Masters of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following the completion of her clinical fellowship at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois, she served at Carle Clinic in Urbana, Illinois. Christine enjoys developing relationships with patients in order to meet their hearing health needs. Christine's desire to master and implement the newest research-based hearing technology is unmatched and makes her an indispensable member of the Decibels Audiology family. Outside of her work as an Audiologist, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. As a transplant to sunny Naples, Florida, Christine also seizes every opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities, including rounds of golf and trips to the beach with friends.

Andy Schaps, Audiology Assistant at Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center, is a 2012 graduate of the Nova Southeastern University Audiology Assistant Program. This program is nationally recognized as the best Audiology Assistant training program in the country.  He completed his fellowship at Decibels Audiology and Hearing Aid Center in 2013 and has since become the MOST REQUESTED member of our Audiology team!  Not only is he popular with patients, the staff love him as well! Andy has been awarded the Decibels Audiology Employee of the Month Award every month since the award was created in February of 2012. The rest of us don’t stand a chance. 

A local, Andy grew up in Naples and graduated from Barron Collier High School. Before joining Decibels Audiology, Andy served as a manager at an upscale hotel for eleven years. In his free time, Andy values spending time with his wife and two children, and he enjoys the warm weather and outdoor activities that life in Southwest Florida offers.
